Should you choose to train as an instructor with Burley School of Motoring, we’ll equip you with the skills to become an understanding, thorough and safe tutor.
Your first step is to apply for registration to become a driving instructor. To do this, you must:
- hold a full (UK or EEA) driving licence;
- have held it for at least four out of the past six years;
- not have been disqualified from driving at any time in the four years prior to applying;
- be a ‘fit and proper’ person to have your name entered into the register. All convictions are taken into account when your suitability is assessed and you must have an enhanced level criminal record check;
- you must also pass the three qualifying examinations.
