These are the words of Chris Barker ADI, owner of the Burley School of Motoring.
Chris, a top-level, Grade 5 instructor, has a passion for driving and transport matched by more than 20 years’ experience, many of these as a fully qualified instructor.
The school prides itself on teaching everyone, even nervous or inexperienced pupils, how to drive safely and well.
Whether this is your first attempt to pass your driving test, or you simply want to brush up on existing skills, the Burley School of Motoring offers a range of services to suit your needs.
The small, flourishing school, based in Menston, West Yorkshire provides a complete service to help you not only pass your driving test but to be prepared for a life of driving in the real world.
Should you choose to learn to drive with Burley, your lessons will take place in one of the most stunning regions of the British Isles: North Yorkshire’s renowned Dales and its National Park. You will encounter all sorts of driving conditions on an extremely wide range of roads.

We pride ourselves on our proven record of success and enjoy knowing that most of our customer enquiries come via personal recommendation.
The school is a member of several widely-recognised driver training bodies, including the Driving Instructors Association and Motor Schools Association.
Both these bodies work closely with the Driving Standards Agency, which is responsible for the official theory and practical driving test.
Chris Barker is also a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
